From the Monterey County Herald:
Six people have been charged with using stolen identities to run up tens of thousands of dollars in fraudulent charges in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The defendants were arraigned Thursday in Santa Clara County Superior Court. They did not enter pleas.
The state Attorney General’s Office says the defendants stole the identities of 20 people, most of them clients of a San Jose law office and a Santa Clara dental office where two of the defendants worked.
They then allegedly took out credit cards and opened fraudulent bank accounts.
