Crown Paints could be fined for data breaches after publishing personal details of hundreds of customers online.
Enquiries and complaints entered this year on Crown’s Decorating Centre website, featuring home addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses were made public after an internet hitch on Friday morning.
The Darwen-based company is now being investigated by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), over possible data protection breaches.

Crown Decorating centre’s marketing manager David Fish said: “We are carrying out an extensive investigation into how the staging site became visible and have blocked further access to the link.”
