A contractor working for Sequoia Hospital inadvertently posted the personal information of 391 current and former hospital employees on a public website, where it stayed for four years, the hospital said Thursday.
An employee for Towers Watson, an international professional services firm, posted the information in October 2007, hospital CEO Glenna Vaskelis said in a statement. The information was removed Dec. 2.
The hospital declined to say what sort of information was placed online, but a leader of the union representing about 350 workers at the hospital said it included first and last names and Social Security numbers.
