BELGRADE – Agency for Privatization published, unauthorized, information about 5,190,396 citizens of Serbia, on its website with more than four thousand financial documents, Share foundation confirmed today.
The text database with information (in total about 19 GB of content) was publicly available on the official website of the Agency for Privatization, Share foundation has determined. The statement says that the analysis has shown that information about 5,190,396 citizens of Serbia originate from the Agency’s register of holders of free shares.

The analysis has shown that the database contains information about 5,190,396 Serbian citizens, including first names, last names, personal identification number and status of the citizen in the registry of holders of rights to free shares.
It is important to note that, on the basis of the presented data, it is possible to determine the date and place of birth, age and sex of the person whose information was compromised, says Share foundation.

Their report follows other reports last week claiming that hackers had hacked into the internet backbone of the Serbian Identity system and stolen ID numbers of almost all citizens of Serbia.
