A former Chico State University student is accused of a series of “bizarre and twisted” crimes that include urinating on his roommates’ bedding, hacking a student’s school account to drop the person’s classes and stealing nude photographs from a female student.
Daniel Deluna-Martinez, 27, of Hamilton City, pleaded not guilty Thursday in Butte County Superior Court to a multitude of charges including vandalism, computer hacking, attempted extortion and burglary, according to a press release from the District Attorney’s Office.

Deluna-Martinez is also alleged to have hacked into a student’s account and dropped that student’s classes, and then proceeded to open credit card accounts in the student’s and other’s names.
“The hacking reached out to the student’s parents’ accounts also, including reaching into their bank accounts,” according to the press release.
More than 10 victims have been identified, Ramsey said. One of the victims is a female student whose computer accounts were allegedly hacked by Deluna-Martinez. The suspect reportedly downloaded nude photos of the woman and threatened to put them online unless she sent him other nude photos.
