A hacker claiming association with Anonymous, a loosely associated network of Internet hackers and activists, sent an e-mail with attachments to county education officials last week alerting them to “corruption and manipulation” at Clayton Valley Charter High School, authorities said.
The attachments included e-mails from at least one school staff member, police and county officials said Monday.
County officials notified Clayton Valley Executive Director David Linzey that his e-mail was compromised and he alerted police Friday, officials said.
