Matt Discombe reports:
Private patient data held by Gloucestershire hospitals was mistakenly uploaded to a server in the USA due to problems with its new electronic record system.
Information on 56 patients held by Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust had been erroneously copied onto the server in October.
The records, which included ‘identifiable sensitive data’ about 19 of the patients, were uploaded to a server run by Intersystems, which provides the hospital’s Trakcare electronic patient records system.

Wait, what? Who uploaded the data to the wrong server? An employee of Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Trust or an employee of Intersystems? We need more details as to how this happened.
