KABC reports that as of yesterday, the San Bernardino City Unified School District was still having issues gaining access to its computer network after it was hit in a ransomware attack.
A pop-up message was displaying on the district’s website, which stated that student and parent data was secure, school phone lines are working, but parents can’t send an email to teachers or staff until the issue is resolved.
The district announced the attack via its Twitter account on Sunday. They have not revealed whether they received any actual ransom demand, and if so, for how much and whether they were consider paying it.
