Donna Fielder reports:
Hackers stole credit card and debit card information from at least 200 Sanger area residents, and fraudulent charges are now popping up all over the United States, police say.
Sanger police Detective Jonathan Perkins said Tuesday that a server that provided information to processors for credit cards was compromised at a Sanger business in mid-June. The information likely was sold to people who created counterfeit cards, he said, and people across the country began using them. He declined to name the local business.

Susy Solis of NBCDFW.com reports it this way on MSNBC:
Sanger police Detective Jonathon Perkins said the server of an out-of-state credit card processor for a Sanger grocery store was hacked, and the sensitive information was compromised.
“On July 20th, I was contacted by a credit union out of the Dallas area,” Perkins said. “They informed me that several accounts had been compromised, and they found a common link to a merchant here in Sanger.”
Police did not identify the grocery store, but said the store has since begun using a new transaction-processing company.
So who’s breach was this? The store’s or the payment processor’s?
