Recently Camden New Journal, found a exploitable part of the Camden council website that allowed them to download licensing information from the councils servers. The information is said to of contained enough data for people to start identity fraud and cause real trouble for anyone who’s information was leaked. The breach has started up a probe into the security of the councils website and servers in relation to a information security act from 1998. This goes to show that all divisions of governments or companies that hold our data need to re-think this whole cyber security issue as each day the world gets smaller and smaller as we connect more and more devices.
