Consumer action groups are warning companies to take better care of client information after a Hobart hotel breached the privacy of more than 600 guests.
Quest Trinity apartments blamed a “glitch” in their email system for sending out promotional material that revealed the contact details of their guests.
Recipients were not blind carbon copied (BCC) in the email so all recipients were able to see the email addresses of all other recipients.
