Aviva has sacked two members of staff after customer claims information and car details may have been accessed or disclosed to third party companies.
The insurer confirmed that when the “illegal activity” was identified, the Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department was immediately contacted.
And the Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED) confirmed it is investigating two separate reports of theft of information following two referrals from Aviva.
The department siad that two men, 37 and 27, from London, have been arrested on suspicion of fraud by abuse of position and have been released on bail.
