Ahhh yes. The entity who has been throwing fines around, in a do as I say not as I do attitude, is now gets a direct hit in the face with some of the action.

The ONLY way they are going to save “face” ( no pie intended) is to catch the crooks and make examples out of them – keeping the strict party line going.

As this breach gets noticed more, I wonder if it makes them more sour than they are, or does it make them feel like they are standing in the center of Grand Central Station with their pants arounf they ankles handing out policy pamphlets. =\

I don’t believe they need to inject sympathy in their ways, but something has got to change. Somehow this stinks as if it came from the inside, but who knows for sure. With the constant password reuse all over the planet, its only a matter of time before any entity is vulnerable.

Its not an excuse – its a bogus “oh hummm we are a victim too” statement that means security is not on the front burner and those this organization is supposed to be one to spew – and supposedly follow policies, it may not be trickling down to the entire organization.

The Tech savvy people realize that this will simply dissapate over time, you definately don’t want to slap an already disturbed bees nest, otherwise the attention you seek may get may be overwhelming.
let it go, and if they find yourself reporting to them, give them a GENTLE nudge about the issue and there might be a SLIGHT chance of understanding and lienency when it comes to their wrath.
