Today’s Zaman has more on a leak previously noted on this site:
A scandal in which the sensitive personal information of more than 850 children was deliberately leaked to a government website has been suppressed, according to the head of a leading children’s rights organization in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır.
Bayram Koluman, the head of the Diyarbakır Bar Association’s Center for Children’s Rights, said the once-suspended education officials have walked into new school jobs and no action has yet been taken against the security forces suspected of managing the profiling.
The scandal, which became public on Jan. 14, came after the names, addresses and other personal data of 872 children, who were involved in delinquent acts or were victims of child abuse, were deliberately exposed on the website of the education directorate in Diyarbakir’s Bağlar district.
