Yahoo has sued a former employee for allegedly feeding confidential information to a journalist who wrote a book about CEO Marissa Mayer published earlier this year.
“Marissa Mayer and the Fight to Save Yahoo!” by Business Insider journalist Nicholas Carlson relied heavily on anonymous sources to recount Mayer’s first two years running the struggling Internet pioneer, including several unflattering missteps.

It says she gave Carlson access to a password-protected site with confidential information about the company.
