A British teen was arrested for hacking into caches of unreleased music from world-renowned artists — and then peddling the rare recordings for cryptocurrency, authorities charged Friday.
The arrest of the 19-year-old suspect was made in Ipswich, a town about 80 miles outside London, according to a joint announcement by London Police and Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. The youth was busted on suspicion of copyright and computer misuse act charges.
