Volvo Group Data Breach Affects Workforce PII

And ANOTHER automotive-related one, as reported by Claim Depot:

Volvo Group North America LLC recently experienced a data breach impacting current and former employees. The cybersecurity incident involved Miljödata, a third-party supplier of human resources software used by Volvo. On Aug. 23, 2025, Miljödata discovered it had suffered a suffered a ransomware attack on Aug. 20, 2025.

An investigation took place and on Sept. 2, 2025, it was determined that data related to Volvo Group North America LLC personnel may have been compromised. Miljödata notified Volvo the same day. Exposed information included first and last names in combination with Social Security numbers.

The total number of impacted current and former Volvo personnel has not been released, but may include several thousand employees. Impacted individuals may be at risk for identity theft or fraud.
