Melissa Lemieux reports:
A hacker working under the name Vanda The God claims to have breached the database of Tū Ora Compass Health and has offered the medical details of 1 million New Zealanders for sale on Twitter, according to the Canterbury, New Zealand Star-News.
The massive hack has left the Ministry of Health unsure of what’s been taken, and how much information the hacker now has. However, claims the hacker might have medical, mental or sexual health details have spread and continue to cause concern. Until the breach is fully identified, anyone who had been enrolled at a health center since 2002 may have had information compromised in the hack.
Read more on Newsweek. The hacker seems to be offering the data for $200 in BC. DataBreaches.net has reached out to them to ask him for a sample of the data to confirm the authenticity of the claim and to see if they will tell us a bit more about the attack. This site will be updated if they are willing to share more info with us.

Update 1: Vanda TheGod responded to my message, but so far, I have seen no proof of claims, so until I see verifiable data, this is still just an unproven claim.
Update 2: So when I pushed for proof of claim, Vanda TheGod responded that they had just sold the data. To Iran. So yeah, this is a claim that is still totally unsubstantiated. For more history on Vanda TheGod, see Lee. J’s 2013 post about them being a scammer.
