Authorities are investigating the thefts this week of large bins used to store paper waiting to be shredded from three FirstMerit Bank branches in Streetsboro, Westlake and Elyria.

FirstMerit spokesman Rob Townsend said just one of the stolen containers actually had customer and bank information in it.
Townsend said he is not sure which one had the documents in it.
Bank officials are still working to determine how many bank customers may have had their personal information stolen.

The containers, stored outside of the banks, weigh at least 550 pounds.
