McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine, Hacked & Accounts Leaked

regenerative-medicine-at-the-mcgowan-institute A hacker group using the handle Group Hp-Hack has announced another leak of data today, this time from McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine (https://www.mirm.pitt.edu/). The McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine is based at University of Pittsburgh and is apart of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. > The Institute’s mission includes the development of innovative clinical protocols as well as the pursuit of rapid commercial transfer of its technologies related to regenerative medicine. Also critical to the mission is the education and training of the next generation of scientists, clinicians and engineers who will be carrying the field forward toward the ultimate goal of patient benefit. about

This morning some time the twitter account @GroupHp_Hack was suspended earlier today and has since been reactivated announced the leak from their twitter account just a short time ago. > @cyber_war_news Next Target: Regenerative Medicine at the McGowan Institute Check DM for Vulnerable soon… 🙂 — Group Hp-Hack (@GroupHp_Hack) June 2, 2013

The leaked data was posted to pastebay.net and contains 847 user account details with full names, user names, email addresses and encrypted passwords. Earlier today the Group Hp-Hack also posted a leak of data from a Russian auto accessories website.
